Problems existing in the principles, methods and validation criteria for setting of integrated land price were discussed, and countermeasures or solutions proposed: (1) modify the principle, "the same price for lands of the same nature" into "the same price for lands in the same section"; (2) set the integrated land price as the lowest standard for compensation; (3) use the residual method as the major one for calculation, and set the market comparison as target; (4) set the integrated land price no less than its validation criterion, i.e. the minimum costs of the actual social settlement of farmers whose land was expropriated; (5) use land expropriation as an opportunity to set up a social security system for farmers who lost their land and define items and levels of the system.
