Marinate \Mar"i*nate\, v. t. [See {Marine}, and cf. {Marinade}.] To salt or pickle, as fish, and then preserve in oil or vinegar; to prepare (food) by the use of marinade.
Toss and leave to marinate for at least one hour.
Having cleaned, washed and patted them dry cut them into thick slices, marinate for 30 minutes in olive oil and grill.
